Santa Clarita Valley club rugby players will endure anything for their favorite sport.

From the first entrance of the Canyon High student parking lot, one would see the crest of an Australian flag in the distance much like a sun setting into the ocean.   It's more their game — the Australians, that is. But it wasn't their house. It was the house of the Hart District Wildcats. They said so, as they bunched into a circle before the match.

"Whose house is this?" one Wildcat roared. "Our house," the other 21 replied. Then they played a game foreign to this area — rugby. Maybe 30 percent of them understood the game before the season started. Only two the year before.  More...
